Cake Baking at Evendine

Residents at Evendine Care Home have recently been making some cakes with Stacey!

The activity was organised by care staff as part of the home’s activities programme, which aims to provide both physical and mental stimulation for its residents.

The elderly residents were thrilled to be able to get hands-on with their cake baking lesson. The activity provided an opportunity for the residents to use their creative abilities and spark a new interest that some may not have explored before.

The activity was also beneficial for their overall wellbeing. Baking can be a very therapeutic activity and it was wonderful to see everyone smiling while they were learning something new – it certainly brightened up everyone’s day!
